Art, Deception and FIFA

umbrellas in an alleyway

Like Sentinels guarding a castle, Umbrellas fit perfectly over an alleyway, maybe to provide cover from the sun/ rain; black and shadowy, artistic, architectural. Maybe as an ad for a nearby umbrella shop, obvious, but  not-so-obvious after all. Or an aesthetic feature of the otherwise cold alleyway, depends how you choose to look at it.

Like running over hurdles backwards, FIFA stubbornly slides further ( and further) away from rescue, when it is obvious, but not so obvious after all, that whichever way one chooses to look at it, its never going to end well.

Each ticking second of stubbornness only drives the beleaguered organization deeper into murkier waters,  deceptive waters, turning friends into enemies, lies and more lies, on what is probably turning out to be one of the biggest scandals of 21st Century football. The beautiful game that millions adore, now tainted by a handful of corrupt (and Powerful) officials, whose ugliness is only surpassed by that of their acts.

Oh dear…
